There is nothing that prevents a musician from musing, but when he belches out banalities at regular intervals it is time for him to stop at what he does best and leave the thinking to rational minds.
When Elton John recently expressed his conviction that Jesus Christ was a super intelligent, compassionate gay individual he surely didn’t mean to demean —being an ‘open’ gay himself. But I would say that his choice of method to remain in the limelight is in bad taste.
It amuses me to think that Sir John has cleverly conjoined traits such as intelligence and compassion with homosexuality, thereby making a veiled attempt at praising himself and the members of his jolly gay bandwagon!
It was not too long ago that Dan Brown , in an effort to debunk the myth surrounding Christ, projected Him as a married person in the ‘Da Vinci Code’ and even went on to describe His present- day descendants!!
I confess to wondering at the plight of Sir John had he dared to pass ‘out-of-the-box’ comments on a certain bearded, long-robed members of the human species .
He would only have to stop speaking, for a ‘fatwa’ to be issued against him, and the world would have witnessed the music maestro hopping between continents, crawling between caves (with his gigolo in tow) in a desperate attempt to stay alive!
Or he would have had to seek refuge in an obscure nation, like MF Hussein, whose artistic expressions (founded on Hindu Goddesses) made the saffron brigade see red!
It is overwhelming to realize that Jesus Christ continues to command attention even after 20 centuries, but He certainly does not need distorted versions of His short existence to promote His causes! Remember, He is already famous and continues to overshadow all those who came before and after Him!
Why is it that these blasphemers, posing as thinkers, fail to realize that there is a middle ground between homosexuality and leading a married life?
We’ve all heard of people who have breathed and lived for a cause. As far as I understand, JC was a revolutionary, and a teacher, who came to challenge and change a populace that was steeped in bigotry and injustice! Given the time and place that He was around, it certainly was no mean task!
He knew His time was short (33 yrs) and was, therefore, focused on completing His mission, the result of which is evident even today!
To commit a slur against the icon of the (still) most popular religion of the world (which does not endorse homosexuality), and to continue to remain alive, speaks volumes about the concepts of compassion and forgiveness that the Great Master has passed on to His followers.
BTW, Sir Elton, you really suck (pun intended)!!

What i feel is that whatever people say or do, religions are strong enough to stand the test of time as they have shown. So lets take Jesus's example and forgive.

Zebra comment got a cobra bite (hi just kidding), so far i thought that politicians, Whores and people of that sort could defame others/misinterpret facts for their benefits and the list had been appended by another artists - OHHH its humane - sorry not that way. I tell you an incident about JC. In the name of religion the early Church had a big festival - as a custom - there were lots of business going around, the Church elders made coins as tokens thats to be exchanged with the money so that the church token money was appreciated benefiting definitely not the gods, however this was imposed to the poor too - Jesus Christ came there saw it - he abused an equivalent word for an ill legitimate progeny and physically whipped the guys out there - this is history (one of the reason why some people targeted JC to be dead). I feel Elton John is not to be forgiven - I am ready to take the whip.

As far as TRUE masters are concerned they are in no way affected by such comments made about them from time to time. Remember it is only we, the followers of them, are very much affected by such comments and not they. In fact almost all great masters have faced such things not only in their lifetime but even after they have shed their bodies and attained immortality. It does not matter whether one goes to church or not regularly to be a christian in following Christ, but what matters is how good he is as a person. Honestly some fanatic christians who disregard gays have their own secret lives with gays. They suck too (pun intended)

dalits are protesting now because they were suppressed in the past. IN the same way, gays irritate others using their freedom of speech because they were treated badly more than dalits. there were cases where in villages they were hung from their middle part for being gay in the past yester years. So its now their time to throw the garbage they faced. Fanatics exists in all religions and we are all moderates who mind our business and dont confront. Most of my friends here are obviously christians and they are really moderates and they dont go to church primarily because of the preaching that is very contradictory for them and thats what they told me when I asked them why they dont go to church.
ReplyDeleteIn my personal experience with my own realtor who is a regular church goer and a person who talk about God all the time, and he is a big cheat and far away from being honest. another faculty person in our department who is an ardent catholic is a back stabber on many people in the profession. So what is the point in their church learning. Is this what Jesus told them to be double standard. Similarly we find these people in our country too fooling people in the name of God, being so religious and take bribe and put the money as bribe in temple hundials.
I dont support Elton, but I dont disagree the way he indirectly attacked the people who put down gays in the past and still putting them down. Honestly God belongs to everyone regardless of gender or sexuality or birth or caste or anything and no body has any rights to stop anyone or call the other as sinner. He is far more depicted by such people as a sex God who exploited women, without knowing any philosophy of jeevathma and paramaathma. If you go to youtube you can find a video on XXX kali super sex God depicting Durga Devi as sex God while in reality Kali being dark represents Ignorance and destroyer of ignorance and hence she is depicted dark. She is not an existing person. Lot of sanathana dharmic philosophies have been misinterpreted continuosly by westerners and christian missionaries in the past and muslims when they invaded India they burnt lot of scriptures destroyed the temples and those are now repeated by fanatic VHPs who are far away from what Gita is actually talking and patience of Lord Rama and they think they represent hindus while most of us dont like them. Yet we cant stop them too, because they are stupids.
These activities represent the immaturity in understanding God and thats why these people feel "my God" "your God" and "their God". if someone is throwing trash out of their immaturity on Jesus or Sankara or Ramanuja, it is the same and it has nothing to do with religion, because these souls are far beyond any religion and they are common for everyone if you have a broader understanding. When we were all in DC, we used to have these kind of discussions for fun.
we all had a similar friend who was a PHd student from Maharashtra and nattu would just give the key and we all will start watching the fun.

From my understanding based on my interaction with such type of ladies in the US, I came to know that they use the same word "gay" to identify themselves too..So colloquially the word gay is used in general for homosexuals regardless of their gender.
So whatever sarcastic fun you are trying to add in your blog, you are hurting the lesbians too.

Assume whatever you want, a female friend of mine who is openly gay, is far more a nicer person with human values than some of the very religious people I see here who visit church every weekend but back stab on others.

ReplyDeleteBy the way, it is not true that all scriptures of different religions are edited. For example, every one knows that Sage Vyasa wrote Mahabharatha and BhagwatGita is part of it. So we know the author and certainly that portion of Gita in 18 chapters is never edited. any insertion or deletion will make it very obvious.

ReplyDeleteIf Jesus can fly, being a human and could have born parthenogenetically which never exists in humans scientifically, then even sage vyasa would have single handedly written the Bharatha story and Krishna would have existed too.

Krishna was born out of sexual union by his parnets and not parthenogenetically.
According to bible originally christians were even thinking that earth is flat and that its the center of the universe, while in valmiki ramayana that was written much before bharatha katha, sun was referred as a a central star that governs the solar system with its energy and praised for sustaining this solar system being in the center. This comes in Auditya hridayam. The planetary movements around the sun has been recorded and registered in these scriptures in detail and in vedic astrology and those details perfectly match with scientific observation on the movement of these celestial objects in space around the sun.

Tell me you as a scientist how do you think Jesus would have been born parthenogenetically when there is no birth recorded in Humans of such type. You are a geneticist.
I even doubt if Jesus was historical or mythological.

well there are lot of crappy stories exist in hindu scriptures too, but no body claims them to be historical purely and people agreed and settled as philosophies written in the form of mythological stories..
ReplyDeleteSo if you think and expect someone to accept jesus a historical man as divine and that made him to stop cyclone and to raise from the dead, then why not such divinity existed in an Indian born before this historical jesus in INdian subcontinent who could have actually heard that Lord Krishna's voice in meditation, since nobody knows what and how he actually heard in reality, whether he was physically there or not.

No hindu scripture says hate this group of people just because they are different and neither hindus hate gays (includes LGBT). If a particular fanatic hindu hates, that is his personal problem and aversion but unlike christianity where majority of christians openly raised flags saying "God hates Fags"
hinduism does not talk about hatredness anywhere...for people to raise flags against a set of people who are different.
Anyways..Just still curious...How do you think it is possible for a historical man to have born parthenogenetically. Give me a logical scientific explanation for this.
